The Traginer Acoustic Washboard is the result of years of dreaming, planning, designing, testing and implementation. Respecting tradition and the essence of this fascinating musical instrument, our obsession has been conceiving this appliance a musical instrument to offer you a great musical experience.
The new Traginer Acoustic Washboard Special has been conceived from scratch like a musical instrument and every little detail has been designed to be as functional and beautiful as possible. The simplicity, fused with function, results in a unique design that offers a new way to explore and experience washboard performance.
The body is comprised of just three parts of Baltic birch wood of seven layers with a natural high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish. The result is a washboard incredibly thin and light with a compact and solid design that’s available in two sizes.
All Traginer Acoustic Washboards are made from Forest Stewardship Council certified sustainably harvested wood.
We make the rub surfaces ourselves in our workshop from three different materials (stainless steel, zinc and brass), so that you will be able to customize the sound of the instrument according to your musical requirements.
All Traginer Acoustic Washboards are made using high-precision cutting machines, a method highly precise for the cutting of each part; it delivers the high-quality construction you expect from Traginer Washboards.
Our natural, high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finishes are applied in-house by our expert craftsman to each of our acoustic washboards.
In addition, we use traditional screen printing in our logotype, texts, serial number, customized texts and ornaments designs. You can add a personal screen-printed message to the washboard.
We offer unique, premium-quality instruments and each of our products is labeled with a serial number.
All our washboards are 100% crafted in our European workshop.

You can beautify your washboard with your add-ons according to your musical needs. In addition, you can replace the rub surface any time with a new or different surface.

For a comfortable and secure musical experience, the Traginer Acoustic Washboard has been designed with placements for either two or four strap buttons to provide a customized and comfortable fit.
In addition, you can add the TAW+ accessory to the TAW Special Large with a different rub surface and combine two sounds according to your musical needs. It’s fast and easy to attach or remove through a magnetic system; you can add this accessory to your percussion or drum kit to add a different tone to the setup.
You can also use the TAW Special+ independently, and it’s perfect for street performances, small stages or practice sessions. Play anywhere, any time – it’s highly mobile and easy to transport.
